Bear-ly Tolerable Situation

Charlie Vandergaw, a 70-year-old retired teacher, has been befriending bears (both black and grizzly) on his remote homestead north of Anchorage, Alaska. Now, authorities with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game?who claim that Vandergaw has caused reckless endangerment of the public through a food-conditioning program that has attracted two dozen bears to his property?are considering bringing charges against him. Vandergraw prides himself on being smarter than Timothy Treadwell?who, along with his girlfriend, Amie Huguenard, was famously devoured by one of the Grizzly Bears they had sought to ?befriend??and ?in better control of his situation.?
